I also bought a Holga today

At some point I got turned off from the idea of chance in my photography. So this feels slightly like picking up learning the trombone or something. I’m dramatic. I’m sure I’ll be able to “figure it out” in a roll or so.

Shot my first roll of film yesterday in probably 5+ years. I shot a roll of Fuji 400. I only used to shoot Fuji Velvia (50 ASA/ISO) for awhile there so we’ll see what we get color, grainwise.

I kept looking at the back of my Nikon 8008s waiting for the metal case to show me a digital image. Nope, nothing there, chimper!

What will they look like?!

Chimping (you bring your elbows out and bring your hands close to you like a monkey) is the term for photogs who are always checking the back of the camera so see what they got. The only lens I now have for it is a nice fixed focal length 50mm f1.8—Sweet.

The body also has a cut in it from where a thief cut through my backpack AND my camera bag on the subway in Mexico City.
